Chewbacca Was Arrested For Trying To Help Darth Vader Vote In Ukrainian Election

A Ukrainian man dressed as Star Wars character Chewbacca was arrested for not having his ID on him, and his van that he was driving Darth Vader around in wasn't properly parked.

We only thought Star Wars was wildly popular in America. I haven't yet heard of Chewbacca, Darth Vader, or any other character from the series appearing at the polls in the US!

When Chewy was arrested, in true Wookie fashion, it took several Ukrainian police officers to detain him. I'm sure none of them wanted to risk the wrath of a Wookie!

Even the Ukrainian police had a little fun with their arrest on their Instagram page.

That translates to:

“Nothing unusual here, just Chewbacca detained for being without documents while driving Darth Vader to the elections in Odessa,”
