Charges Against Tara Fogleman Laxey in BBQ Protest Case Dropped
In court today, charges of disturbing the peace and obstruction of public passages were dropped against Tara Fogleman Laxey in the BBQ protest dating back to August 30.
KATC reports that as part of the agreement "Laxey agreed to a stay-away order for the next year; she'll stay 100 feet away from Mayor President Josh Guillory, his family and his home"
A representative from the District Attorney's office say they support Laxey's right to protest and feel that the agreement is the best way to move forward for everyone involved.
KATC will have more on this story as it develops.
