Carrie Fisher Will Still Appear in ‘Family Guy’ and ‘Catastrophe’ in 2017
We’re still reeling the loss of Star Wars legend and all-around treasure Carrie Fisher, though as tends to be the case with departed stars, their upcoming projects will help uphold their legacy. In addition to completing her work on Star Wars Episode VIII, Fisher had also recorded several 2017 episodes of Family Guy, and completed her role in Season 3 of the UK’s Catastrophe.
Per Variety, Fisher had completed voice-over work on two as-yet-unscheduled 2017 episodes of Family Guy, reprising her role as Peter’s boss, Angela. As of this year, Fisher had appeared in 20 episodes of the series. Tweeted creator and voice Seth MacFarlane of the loss:
Additionally, Fisher had also completed filming on the third season of Amazon’s U.K. Catastrophe, and was returning home from said shoot when the initial heart attack took place this past Friday. The third season is expected to premiere on Amazon in early 2017, while star and co-creator Sharon Horgan also shared her remembrance on social media.
2017 will provide a great many opportunities to remember and celebrate Fisher, particularly with the release of her final Star Wars film toward the end of the year, so stay tuned for all the latest.
