Brandon Scott Lavergne Attempts Escape From Angola

Brandon Scott Lavergne, who plead guilty to the murder of Mickey Shunick and Lisa Pate, attempted an escape from Angola this week.

Ken Pastorick, Commnunications Director for the Dept.of Corrections, confirmed with KLFY that Lavergne attempted the escape around 4:30am Monday.

"He did try and escape from his prison camp," Pastorick said, "however he didn't get past his perimeter fence."
