Baton Rouge Woman Arrested For Hitting Husband With Turkey

The aggression didn't wait until Black Friday for this Baton Rouge woman.

Sgt. Don Coppola with Baton Rouge Police says that a juvenile phoned 911 on Thanksgiving day to tell police that his parents were fighting.

Helen Jackson, 52, pulled a knife on her husband, and held it to his throat. She then picked up a turkey that he was trying to cook for the Thanksgiving festivities, and hit him with it.

“Helen Jackson was later charged and booked into the parish prison for aggravated assault for threatening him with the knife and domestic abuse battery for striking him with the turkey,” Coppola said.

As of Friday afternooon, Jackson remained in jail.
