Bacon Cheeseburger with a King Cake Bun? It’s A Louisiana Thing
Louisiana is famous far and wide for its food. We just love the stuff. We're always inventing new ways to eat it too. A lot of times those new food traditions begin with the combining of other food traditions. The latest creation from the Burgersmith Restaurants is proof of that.
The restaurants will begin offering from their five Louisiana locations tomorrow a Mardi Gras Mambo Burger. The burger features the restaurant's signature blend of Chicago beef that is covered with melted cheese and bacon. That perfectly prepared patty is then served between two slices of King Cake.
No, not just pain King Cake, this is King Cake with icing and sprinkles and of course, there is a plastic baby too. The chain has locations in Lafayette and Baton Rouge. There is a Broussard location of the chain in the works but it won't be open in time to take advantage of this Mardi Gras special.
The restaurant plans to offer the Mardi Gras Mambo Burger for a very limited time. In fact, you can only get one beginning Friday, February 21st through Mardi Gras on February 25th. I can't wait to hear what you think about this latest culinary creation inspired by the appetites and culture of Louisiana.
