Anthrax Wanted The Beastie Boys For ‘I’m The Man’
Way back in 1987, Anthrax had this crazy idea to write a rap-metal song. At that point, no one had ever done it. Origially, they wanted The Beastie Boys to lay down the vocals!
Drummer Charlie Benante tells Rolling Stone: “Originally the Beasties were going to do the rap on I’m the Man. But we had conflicting schedules and couldn’t get it together, so we just ended doing it.”
I say they re-record it with The Beastie Boys!
