20/20 In Lafayette To Profile Local Businessman Greg Flenikan’s Death

An ABC News crew is in Lafayette to profile the case of a man who died after being shot in Texas.

20/20 is profiling Greg Flenikan, a Lafayette resident who died in his Beaumont hotel room in September 2010, for an upcoming episode in the series.

Flenikan's death remained a mystery for nine months. Then in June of 2011, Lance Mueller was arrested on manslaughter charges. Police say Mueller accidentally fired a handgun in his hotel room, sending the bullet through the wall and into Flenikan.

This is not the first time Flenikan's case has attracted national attention. An article in the May 2013 edition of VANITY FAIR profiled the case and described how it was cracked.
