Planning to attend the 2012 New Orleans Bowl to watch the Ragin Cajuns in action? Make sure to head to NOLA on Friday to catch the pre-game party and concert. The entertainment line up has just been announced, and it includes Bad Company and the Beach Boys.

From the New Orleans Bowl website, "R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl Officials will host the second annual “Friday Night Concert” featuring The Beach Boys and Bad Company with lead singer Brian Howe on Friday, Dec. 21, at 5:30 pm in Champion’s Square.

The “Friday Night Concert” will kick off the fan festivities for the 2012 R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, taking place at 11:00 am on Saturday, Dec. 22, in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns officially accepted the Bowl invitation to represent the Sun Belt Conference for the second year in a row. The Conference USA representative will be either Rice or East Carolina, depending upon the outcome of Saturday’s C-USA Championship Game.

“The R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl is a wonderful opportunity to showcase our vibrant city, and the second annual ‘Friday Night Concert’ is the perfect way to kick-off the Bowl weekend,” said Billy Ferrante, Executive Director of the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl. “Between the football game and the Friday night concert, the 2012 R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl will encompass New Orleans’ love of music and sports.”

One of the most acclaimed bands of the classic rock era, England's Bad Company with lead singer Brian Howe, has put its indelible stamp on rock 'n' roll with a straight-ahead, no-frills musical approach that has resulted in the creation of some of the most timeless rock anthems ever.

The Beach Boys, from Hawthorne, California, feature famous harmonies and classic songs that continue to travel the world bringing “Good Vibrations” everywhere. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988 and recipients of The Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award, The Beach Boys are a beloved American institution that remains iconic around the world.

Bowl Officials are also happy to announce that R+L Carriers has officially extended their sponsorship of the New Orleans Bowl for five years.

The “Friday Night Concert” featuring the Beach Boys and Bad Company with lead singer Brian Howe will take place on Dec. 21 at 5:30pm, and doors will open at 5:00pm. Admission is free and open to the public.
