With today's launch of Apple's iPhone 5, I want to take a trip to the past and show everyone how cell phones used to look and operate. Today, we have it made with smartphones. Just about everyone has their own computer in their pocket at all times. This is a Radio Shack commercial from 1989 to promote their cellular phone.

There were no apps, no headsets, no Wi-Fi. Just a big box with a wired phone attached to it. Watch the commercial for Radio Shack's 1989 cell phone here.
