Sean Payton is the most successful coach in Saints history, having brought the franchise its first Super Bowl championship after decades of mediocrity. He's also one of the top coaches in the game today. Where does he rank? The Asssociated Press recently ranked the top 10 coaches in the game today. Payton comes in at #5. He's regarded as one of the best offensive minds in the game. I feel he's deserving of mention in the same sentence as the legendary Bill Walsh & Don Coryell. Here's the complete list:

#10: Sean McVay, Los Angeles Rams

#9: Doug Pederson, Philadelphia Eagles

#8: Ron Rivera, Carolina Panthers

#7: Andy Reid, Kansas City Chiefs

#6: Mike Zimmer, Minnesota Vikings

#5 Sean Payton, New Orleans Saints

#4: John Harbaugh, Baltimore Ravens

#3: Pete Carroll, Seattle Seahawks

#2: Mike Tomlin, Pittsburgh Steelers

#1: No surprise here: Bill Belichik, New EnglandPatriots

Some members of Who Dat nation have expressed the view that coach Payton's best days are behind him. I don't think so...
