Wrestlemania 30 To Be Held At The Mercedes-Benz Superdome

Today, the official WWE press conference for Wrestlemania 30 was held in New Orleans at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. It was announced that the Superdome is the location of Wrestlemania 30 and will be on April 6th, 2014, which will make the first time Wrestlemania will be held in the Crescent City.

This is also the first milestone Wrestlemania not to be held in Madison Square Garden. New Orleans will also be host of the week-long Wrestlemania Axxess, which is events for the fans, the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, and Monday Night Raw.

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon has this to say about the event:

WWE thanks the city of New Orleans and the Saints for welcoming our biggest celebration of the year for the first time to The Big Easy. We can’t think of a better city or a more legendary venue than the Mercedes-Benz Superdome to host the 30th annual WrestleMania. Let the good times roll.
