Hall believes that an area of high pressure is going to stall in the midwest next week and create as he calls it "an oppressive heat dome". It's expected to grow quickly and break records as it will become as strong as high pressure can possibly get in this climate.

He also said it can start as early as this weekend with temperatures 20 - 30 degrees hotter than we've previously seen this summer. Hall fully believes that Texas will see the hottest temperatures of the year next week as the high pressure system will stall and sit for five to seven days.

Another thing that Hall says will happen with the high pressure system just sitting in the midwest is that it will kill the wind sheer in the Caribbeans which will allow potential hurricanes through and into the Gulf.  Once they reach the Gulf waters, which are the hottest it's ever, they have the fuel to turn into monsters very fast.

And if that's not enough terrible news, Hall believes that another heat wave is going to follow the one happening next week keeping temperatures very high in Texas until the end of August.

Hall also mentions that around August 20th the Saharan Dust in the Atlantic Ocean, that's currently helping slow the development of storms off the African coast, will die down which will result in the Atlantic coming alive with storms.
