Woman’s Plan to Get Her Husband to Stop Playing the Lottery Backfired in a Great Way
57-year-old Glenda Blackwell of Leicester, NC wanted to teach her husband Buddy a lesson. On Saturday, Buddy asked Glenda to pick up a couple of Powerball tickets while she was out. Since Glenda isn't a big fan of Buddy "wasting" his money on lottery tickets, she decided to instead buy a $10 scratch-off ticket, just to show him that there was no point. But in her attempt to teach him a lesson, she ended up scratching off a million dollar winner!
Glenda chose to take the lump sum of cash, which is about $415,000. The couple said that with their winnings, they plan to buy a home, some land and put away some money in college funds for their grandchildren.
So the lesson learned here? "I told ya so" lottery tickets really pay off!
