Want to join Captain Kirk on the high seas? You'll now have your chance!

While there have been other Star Trek themed cruises in the past, this is the first one that is officially sanctioned by CBS.

William Shatner obviously cares about the fans of the show. "I just knew that my participation would be something that our fans would enjoy. It should be a lot of fun,” he said.

He, of course, won't be the only Star Trek alum to be on the voyage. Others that are slated to be on the cruise are Star Trek: The Next Generation‘s Jonathan Frakes, who played Commander Riker. His fellow Next Generation co-stars Marina Sirtis, John de Lancie, and Denise Crosby will also be on board. There will also be co-stars from Voyager and Deep Space Nine.

The six day cruise will leave out of Miami in January 2017, and start at only $975 a person. The Star Trek alum will be participating in activities with guests throughout the cruise. The cruise ship will also be decorated with Star Trek themes and sets.

The cruise will stop in Cozumel, Mexico, Nassau, Bahamas, and Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas and return to Miami.

Since the cruise is a year and a half away, who knows, they may be able to get George Takei, LaVar Burton, or Wil Wheaton on board!
