Where Do I Park For Festival International?
Where do I park for Festival International?
It's probably one of the most frequently asked questions. Here are the suggestions for getting to Acadiana's biggest music event.
- 1
Free Shuttle Service
Plenty of free parking is available at Cajun Field on the corner of West Congress and Bertrand. Service Chevrolet Cadillac is sponsoring shuttle service from there to downtown, and the shuttle runs every 15 minutes. When you've had all the fun you can, you simply head to the corner of Barry and Lee Streets where the shuttle will pick you up and bring you back to Cajun Field.
- 2
Walk
If you live within a mile or so radius of downtown Lafayette, consider walking (or biking) to enjoy the festivities. It will get you some steps on your personal tracker, contribute to your overall health, and alleviate the vehicle congestion associated with so many people coming in from out of town.

Parking Downtown
Listed last for a reason, trying to park downtown is going to feel like a hangover without all the laughs. According to the Festival International website, the primary accessible location is the Buchanan parking garage which also offers spaces for handicapped parking on a first come first served basis. You might find private lots offering pay-to-park slots, but remember that most streets will be closed for festival. Head that way to attempt parking at the risk of your own sanity!
