Yesterday, a co-worker was traveling on La 35 between Kaplan and Rayne in Vermilion Parish when he noticed something a little strange. To his left, all throughout some flooded land, he saw multiple big yellow flags. They are much bigger than the little small flags used to mark gas lines and things like that. These flags are big enough to actually flap in the wind. What the heck are they for?

As you can see in the pictures below, the flags are set up in straight lines.

Obviously they've been put there for a reason, but we're just curious as to what that reason is?
