Vanna White's job is a lot more dangerous than you think.

If it feels like Vanna has been hosting "Wheel of Fortune" as long as you've been walking this earth, you're probably right. Vanna has been turning letters on the world-famous game show since 1982.

As easy as flipping consonants and vowels may seem, the "Wheel" co-host recently got a huge surprise after a contestant won a home at the end of the show. As Vanna walked over to congratulate the contestant, she got nailed in the head by a clump of confetti.

As the cannons go off you can see Vanna get hit in the head, but like a professional, she kept her cool. "Wheel of Fortune" host Pat Sajak let the audience know about Vanna's run-in with the confetti cannons after coming back from the prize package.

First thing I’ve got to tell you is that when you won, Vanna was running across the stage when the confetti came out and got whacked in the head with a clump of confetti

Vanna White took it in stride saying she was grateful the confetti clump didn't land an inch lower than it did, otherwise she may have had a serious problem.

Thank goodness it wasn’t my eye.

It's definitely a moment that will go down in "Wheel of Fortune" history after Tuesday's contestant became the first in the show's history to win a 2,000-square-foot home on the game show.
