The New Orleans Saints have until tomorrow (Tues.) at 3pm to sign Jimmy Graham to a long-term contract. Rumors are swirling that they are nearing a deal that will make him the highest paid tight end in the NFL.

[UPDATE] To make things a little harder, Jimmy Graham has appealed the ruling that classifies him as a tight end. The deadline to sign him to a long-term deal still stands.

Reports are coming in that New Orleans Saints All Pro tight end Jimmy Graham will come to an agreement with the team on a long-term contract which will make him the highest paid tight end in the NFL.

NFL Insider for ESPN Adam Schefter tweeted this out:

If the Saints and Graham don't come to an agreement by 3pm tomorrow, then Graham has two options. He can play out the season as a franchise tight end at $7.053 million, or he could sit the season out.

In my own personal opinion, it would be downright stupid for him to sit out. He would not only lose the money, but he'd lose an entire year of play. We all know how well that worked out for TO!
