The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns will square off with the LSU Tigers on the diamond for the 12-consecutive year next season.

For the fifth-consecutive year, and for the sixth time overall, the Cajuns will face the Tigers in the Wally Pontiff Jr. Classic.

The game, which will be a non-conference affair, is scheduled for Tuesday, April 16, at the Shrine on Airline in Metairie, La.

LSU leads the all-time series with UL, 55-27, but the Cajuns won both meetings against the Tigers last year, capturing a 4-3 win in 10 innings in Lafayette, prior to a 3-1 triumph in last year's Wally Pontiff Jr. Classic.

We know the two squads will meet once again next year because LSU released its official 2019 college baseball schedule on Tuesday.

The Tigers will play 35 home games, as well as 23 games against teams that participated in the 2018 NCAA Tournament.

LSU's schedule, which includes a 30-game SEC slate, opens at Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field with a “Military Appreciation Weekend” February 15-17, as the Tigers play host to ULM, Army, and Air Force in single games.
