From UL

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is closely monitoring Tropical Storm Isaac. The National Hurricane Center currently predicts Issac will move into the Gulf of Mexico and become a hurricane this evening or tomorrow. Lafayette Parish is within the 5-day margin of error for Issac at this time. Because of this, the University is enacting its Phase I Hurricane Preparedness Plan. At this time, we ask that you review your personal hurricane plans and move forward in making your preparations, as well as your departmental obligations.
The University will be open on Monday, August 27, on its regular schedule, as we continue to ready the campus for bad weather. No classes have been cancelled.
Please continue to monitor University messages. Should weather conditions warrant cancellations or closures, information will be provided via the 24-hour hotline at 482-2222, the Emergency Notification System, and the University’s website at louisiana.edu, and its official Facebook page at facebook.com/officialullafayette.
The University will post the next update on Monday, August 27, by noon. Thank you.
