In the world of relationships, it's all about the grounds. You know, is the relationship on solid ground, shaky ground, sinking ground, or totally underground. There are probably a lot more underground relationships than we are aware of but that's kind of where the latest viral challenge on the social media site Tik Tok is heading.

The Strawberry Question has been making its way around the social media site for a few weeks now and already it has gone viral in the world of "couples seeking to prove themselves to each other". I put that in quotes because any relationship where you're constantly being asked to take quizzes and prove your worthiness as a partner falls under the heading of high maintenance if you're asking me.

The Strawberry Question is actually a series of questions that folks on Tik Tok swear you can use to see if your partner will cheat on you. The questions go like this. Please note that strawberries do not grow on trees but this is Tik Tok so intelligence is not a requirement.

Question 1: If you're walking past a strawberry tree, would you eat a strawberry if you were really hungry? Your partner will answer this question with a simple yes or no. If they say no, the "challenge" is over. If they say yes, we move on to question two.

Question 2: How many would you eat?  The specific number that your partner answers with is allegedly the number of people he would be cheating with. For example, if your partner said two strawberries you can count on two occasions of infidelity.

Question 3: What if there was a fence, would you jump over it? A "yes" answer on this question seems to suggest that your partner does not take boundaries into consideration. So, the Tik Tok reasoning is that if they'd jump a fence to eat strawberries, they'd jump your best friend if they had the chance to.

Now for those of you who are wondering is this actually based on sociological facts or tendencies the answer is no. It's based on Tik Tok. You know the channel where people do lip sync parodies of deodorant commercials.

We just wanted you to be aware of this latest challenge and if you're smart you'll simply answer "No". to any question directed your way about strawberries. Unless the question is would you like some fresh delicious Louisiana strawberries, then by all means say yes. You can always find a new love interest but fresh strawberries are only around for just a little while.

And just in case he passed the Strawberry Question or Challenge, there's this.
