Many of us can't get through the day without our coffee. People in some professions need a high octane brew. Nurses are a good example. I was married to a nurse. A couple past girlfriends are nurses as well. They often work grueling 12, even 16 hour shifts. Steve Benington, owner of Christie's Beach Cafe Vicious Coffee in Adelaide Australia decided to make a special concoction for a nurse friend looking to ward of the fatigue of lengthy shifts. Benington formulated the brew to help provide 12 to 18 hours of "sustained up time." The Advertiser provides a detailed description of how it's made, sounds like making rocket fuel to me. Benington named the iced brew "Asskicker." It contains 5 grams of caffeine, about 80 times that of a typical cup of espresso. Taking your time consuming it, literally a couple hours, is recommended. I'm taking an extended road trip in October. Too bad this stuff isn't available in the US!
