Michael Bay will be producing the next venture into the live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before moving on to direct the next Transformers movie. And he announced that they'll be aliens. So doesn't that kinda go against the whole "mutant" thing? Teenage Alien Ninja Turtles? See what ole Michael Bay has to say about it after the jump!

“These turtles [in the reboot] are from an alien race, and they’re going to be tough, edgy, funny, and completely lovable.”

After he announced this, MANY original turtle lovers took to the innernets to let him have a piece of their mind. So in true Bay fashion, he gave a condescending rebuttle via his official forum ShootForTheEdit:

"Fans need to take a breath, and chill. They have not read the script. Our team is working closely with one of the original creators of Ninja Turtles to help expand and give a more complex back story. Relax, we are including everything that made you become fans in the first place. We are just building a richer world."

Ohhhhh, you better Michael! You're already changing what we KNOW about our favorite heroes in a half shell...Don't shatter our childhood memories.
