The Navy’s New Laser System Destroys Boats & Drones [Video]

The Navy finally got their Star Wars-esque laser system out of the experimental stage!

The Laser Weapons System (LaWS) is silent, highly accurate, and works just like a laser pointer. The USS Ponce amphibious transport ship has been equipped with the LaWS.

In the video, you can see the laser in action. It takes out boats, and drones. Some of the military's weapons are for specific purposes. Some only work on air threats. Some only for water threats. The new LaWS works on it all!

They are already working on the 2.0 version of LaWS that will be able to target enemy missiles.
