It's a picturesque home in Astoria, Oregon, that sits on a bluff overlooking the Columbia River. At one time, this house contained a map that led a group of kids on a grand adventure to a hidden treasure.

Okay, so maybe it was a house used in the filming of a movie once, and the whole treasure map thing was part of the plot.

The "Goonies House" has hit the market for a cool $1.65 million.

I am sure that some people will want to take a look at this listing purely for nostalgia - as it was featured in a fairly popular movie. Others will, according to the Zillow listing, recognize the craftsmanship that went into building the home.

According to the listing, the home is over 125 years old, having been built in 1896. It is a 3-bedroom, 3-bath home, weighing in at 2,336 square feet, and it is beautiful.

This home will come with an added feature: gawkers.

Since "The Goonies" was so popular, fans of the movie still show up to get a glimpse of the house. Many people have posed in front of the home for pictures and, up until a few years ago, some lucky fans were even invited inside.

The homeowner at the time was pretty good about allowing fans to mill about the property to take those photos, but the homeowner's attitude changed when people began to disrespect the property.

Back in 2015, the homeowner shut down visits inside the home and even went as far as discouraging photos of the home by hanging huge tarps to block the view from the public right-of-way.

The homeowners even petitioned the local government to shut down the roadway to prevent non-residents from getting close to the home, but all the city could do was to erect a sign saying the home was closed, according to the story.

I do not know if the current sellers are the same homeowners who used to allow visitors inside, but it seems they were cordial for several years before crowds became too much for them.

Anyway, if you can handle a few gawkers on the street outside (according to this story, crowds would swell to hundreds on summer days), this may be your dream home!

(I wouldn't recommend ripping up the walls or floorboards looking for treasure maps, though.)

There's an awesome "attic" bedroom with a trap door entrance (it's actually an attic access ladder, but "trap door" sound better), the views from the front porch and a few of the rooms are awesome, and the grass gets really green in the summer.

The final photo is the layout/blueprint of the house.
