Two teens, ages 13 and 14, have been arrested and charged in a shooting that left one man wounded in Lafayette. Their identities have been withheld due to their ages. The shooting, which started as an attempted armed robbery, happened at approximately 2:30 this morning in the 100 block of North Meyers Drive. A single male victim was found shot in a vehicle and was rushed to a nearby hospital.

According to a release from Cpl Bridgette Dugas of the Lafayette Police Department, the list of charges is growing.

A 13-year-old male juvenile along with a 14-year-old male juvenile were both located and arrested for Attempted First Degree Murder, one count of Armed Robbery and one count of Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery. The motive for the shooting was robbery. The investigation remains on-going

The victim in the shooting is listed in critical condition.
