The United Way of Acadiana announced the four Lafayette Teacher Award winners during the final University of Louisiana Men's Basketball game

After nearly 5,000 nominations were submitted this year in Lafayette Parish, a selection committee chose the educators and support staff who stood out the most.

Nominations opened on October 27 and run through November 21 at midnight and are open for all pre-K4 through 12th-grade educators.
