One couple in Acadiana pulled off quite the surprise to their friends and family who were thinking they were attending an engagement party.

This little girl was participating in her school's spelling bee, when she was asked to spell "Sergeant". At that moment, the curtains behind her open and her dad walks out.

It's always a good tear jerker when military moms and dads surprise their kids when they come home from being deployed. This one's no different! This military dad, Lt. Col. Will Adams, had been deployed for a year. He set it up with the Ray's that he would disguise himself as their catcher for when his daughter throws out the first pitch, unbeknownst to her. Videos of U.S. soldiers coming home to surprise their kids always tear me up. I couldn't imagine what that must be like to a child knowing that their mom or dad is out of the country fighting to protect us. This is a very cool surprise.
