'LuLu', the latest album from Metallica and their first ever collaborative effort with former Velvet Underground frontman Lou Reed, continues to be given mixed to negative reviews. This is the first LP from Metallica not to reach number 1 on the Billboard charts in 20 years.

Metallica‘s Lars Ulrich and Robert Trujilio appeared with Lou Reed on the French show, ‘Taratata,’ which aired on Nov. 25. The episode was taped on Nov. 9, and in addition to the trio sitting down to field questions about and discuss their collaborative ‘Lulu’ album, the band and Reed performed two songs from the record.

'LuLu', the new album from Lou Reed and Metallica, has been universally panned by critics and Metallica fans all around the world, and I believe even the planet Mars. So, it brings us to this furry feline here. This is really the cat's reaction when it listens to 'The View'. Check it out after the jump.

Metallica has been working with Lou Reed, of Velvet Underground fame, recently to put together quite the interesting full length album. The disc is called Lulu, and they've just released a snippet of the single that will be available on iTunes next Tuesday...

As I reported a couple of months ago, Metallica and Lou Reed, former frontman of The Velvet Underground, have collaborated to release a new album. Now, the album, has a name and a release date.

Ever since Metallica had the pleasure of performing with Lou Reed at the 25th Anniversary of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at Madison Square Garden in October of 2009, the heavy metal band has been kicking the idea of a collaboration album with Reed.
