Quentin Tarantino’s untitled Manson Family murders (Manson murder-adjacent? Murder-ish?) project has officially lined up its first big name: Leonardo DiCaprio. The actor will reunite with the Django Unchained filmmaker for his next big project, which is set in Los Angeles in the late ’60s at the time of the murders carried out by Charles Manson’s followers.
Leonardo DiCaprio’s got quite a bit of experience when it comes to portraying characters on either side of the law. He was a dooly appointed federal mahshal in Shuttah Island, played the Boston mob against itself for Martin Scorsese in The Departed, and took on more dastardly roles in such films as Django Unchained and The Wolf of Wall Street. With an Oscar now under his belt, DiCaprio is on the hunt for new roles, and today brings the news that Paramount has given him one squarely in his wheelhouse.
How good does a movie have to look to offset its other deficiencies? The Revenant is as beautiful a movie as has ever been made. The photography by master cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki is inconceivably gorgeous; sweeping wide shots that juxtapose tiny, insignificant men against the overwhelming grandeur of nature, close-ups so intimate they seem like invasions of the actors’ privacy, and action sequences of shocking violence.
CNN has been doing a lot of press leading up to the 86th Annual Academy Awards. As we know, the whole internet wants Leonardo DiCaprio to finally win an Oscar. But did CNN leak his Oscar win weeks in advance?
Jonah Hill hosted SNL last night. While he was doing his monologue "audience members" kept interrupting him to ask about his co-star in The Wolf Of Wall Street, the one and only Leonardo DiCaprio. He gets frustrated, and starts to trash Leo, but Leo was backstage the whole time. He interrupts the monologue, and things get pretty hilarious. Wait for it!
Even though you hated Titanic (even if that's just what you told everyone...we know...we know), you probably had a Leonardo DiCaprio haircut in the 90's. That must just mean that you didn't hate Titanic ENOUGH, cause the Taliban sure did! They went so far as to ban the Leonardo DiCaprio haircut!!! Keep reading to see how far this went in Afghanistan!
A full trailer is going to be released later tonight for the next Quentin Tarantino movie, 'Django Unchained'. Entertainment Tonight has what they are calling the 'first scenes' from 'Django Unchained', which is basically some footage from the trailer that will be released. Check it out after the
In a world of Hollywood remakes, they have finally made a remake of 'The Great Gatsby', based on the popular novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald. The original theatrical version starred Robert Redford as Jay Gatsby. Now, Leonardo DiCaprio stars in the title role. You can watch the trailer after the jump.
