For roughly 15 years there was a fairly large portion of Louisiana that was officially dubbed "The Neutral Strip", meaning the area wasn't controlled by any government, military, or any laws.
Nominations are being accepted for additions to the list of Louisiana's most endangered places list. Many of those endangered places aren't far from where we call home.
As many times as I've traveled Verot School Road, it's never dawned on me that it doesn't lead to an actual school. I mean, the road is named after a school, but where the heck is Verot School, or rather where was Verot School?
