The Hellboy movie has had an intriguing start, with the disappointing news that Guillermo del Toro wasn’t finishing his trilogy, to a bunch of exciting casting announcements, to one not-so-exciting cast addition, to that actor backing out, to a better choice being in talks (which were confirmed today). More good news: we finally know what David Harbour’s Son of the Fallen One looks like. And he’s pretty scary.
It was a bit of a bummer when we heard that Guillermo del Toro’s Hellboy trilogy was not to be concluded after all, and even weirder when Hellboy creator Mike Mignola dropped the news that the series would be rebooted, and stranger still when none other than David Harbour was chosen to portray the character. It stands to reason that del Toro and Ron Perlman are pretty bummed, but Perlman recently told fans that he’s fine with the reboot, and happy for Harbour.
The fate of Hellboy has long been trapped in development hell, boy. Franchise director Guillermo Del Toro and star Ron Perlman were both interested in another installment, but legal complications made that tricky, then there was scheduling stuff, then the studio was being uncooperative, you name it. Del Toro said it was definitely gonna happen, then that it wouldn’t happen, then that it might happen, then that it probably wouldn’t but hey you never know, then that yes, there absolutely 100% will not be a Hellboy 3. And he’s holding true to those final words, because there won’t be a third chapter of his Hellboy franchise — as the new one’s gonna be a [deep breath] reboot.
I recently came across this arm wrestler through videos and pictures on the internet. His name is Matthias Schlitte from Germany. It's not stated on his website what exactly is going on with his arm (some say it's a birth defect, some don't), but it's oddly interesting to see the video of the one nicknamed Hellboy, as one arm is much bigger than the other. Check it out!
I've been waiting for the third Hellboy movie to be made for a while now. Spectral Motion, an effects company that has worked on the Hellboy franchise, decided to make a wish come true for one child for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Once Hellboy star Ron Perlman heard about this, he decided to make this wish even better.
