Oklahoma City was plagued with bad luck last night (July 16) as Megadeth's Gigantour 2013 was severely affected by extreme weather issues. Intense rain and lightning forced Device to skip their set, but that wasn't even the tip of the iceberg. Shortly before Megadeth were set to take the stage, a bolt of lightning struck an Oklahoma City transformer, cutting power to the Zoo Amphitheatre entirely.

With former Metallica members Dave Mustaine and Jason Newsted both on Gigantour this summer, there has been rampant speculation the two would jam an old-school Metallica song from the band's Mustaine era.

Megadeth's Gigantour trek is coming together quite nicely, with Newsted being the latest confirmation for the expected summer run. Newsted are currently off to a hot start with their 'Metal' EP and have been playing to enthusiastic audiences so far this spring. The group's debut full-length is expected later this year and the Gigantour trek will provide a great set-up to build to the album's relea
