The rumors are true! Bassist Duff McKagan will be rejoining Guns N' Roses for a handful of shows, serving as a fill-in for current Guns N' Roses bassist Tommy Stinson while he returns to The Replacements for their reunion shows.
After a few decades on the road, Duff McKagan has learned a thing or two about how to keep people from going crazy when they're stuck with each other for extended periods of time. The former Guns N' Roses bassist shared a bit of that wisdom in his latest column for the Seattle Weekly, titled 'Top 12 Tour Bus Rules and No-Nos.'
Duff McKagan isn't just a famed bassist for bands such as Guns N' Roses, Velvet Revolver and Loaded, he's a hell of a storyteller as well. In McKagan's Seattle Weeky column, he tells a tale of being thrown out of a store in Japan for eating a lovely peanut-and-rice cracker mix, but here's the kicker … the shop McKagan was removed from specializes in selling bootlegged Guns N' Roses merchandise.
