One of the perks of staging your own event is having the ability to drop in on your favorite bands during the festivities, and that's exactly what Metallica's Kirk Hammett did at the inaugural Fear FestEvil horror and music event in San Francisco.
Death Angel will release their first disc in three years when they unveil ‘The Dream Calls for Blood’ on Oct. 11. Coinciding with the release, the band is plotting a monster tour in support of the album, taking their new music out on the road with some awesome bands.
Metallica's Kirk Hammett is making the rounds showing off his 'Too Much Horror Business - The Kirk Hammett Collection' book of horror memorabilia, but during a stop in San Francisco to promote his page-turner, he worked in some music for those in attendance as well. Hammett welcomed Death Angel as guest performers at the event and joined them for a set.
If the third time is indeed the charm, then metal fans in the northern United States and Canada are in for a treat this fall. The thrash metal package of Anthrax, Testament and Death Angel will do it all again, beginning Sept. 14 in Portland, Ore.
