A golf tournament and black pot cookoff in March will honor the memory of a fallen Lafayette and Broussard firefighter, with proceeds funding a scholarship.
This event is one of the largest cookoffs around, with thousands of people attending, and over 70 teams participating, making gallons and gallons of gumbo.
Come have a bowl or two of chili or gumbo to help raise money for the Youngsville Veterans of Foreign Wars. They use that money to help local veterans in need.
Ahhh boudin. The necessary delicacy. I'm quite the fan... in fact, my favorite breakfast is a link (or 2) and a Dr. Pepper. So come October 20th, you know I'll be in downtown Lafayette for the 5th annual boudin cookoff.
