A well-known DJ from Ascension Parish has died days after falling from a float during a Christmas parade earlier this month.

The Town of Church Point will be holding its 2021 Christmas Parade tonight beginning at 6:00 pm.

A parade that was meant to celebrate the arrival of the holidays in Waukesha, Wisconsin turned into an absolute tragedy for those in attendance.

Santa will be the star of the show but that's not all, the Sonic Christmas Parade will feature floats, high school marching bands and dance teams.

The big guy himself, Santa Claus is coming to Scott to parade through neighborhoods and wish everyone a Merry Christmas!

The official arrival of Santa Claus takes place this Sunday, December 8th in Lafayette with the Sonic Christmas Parade. The parade will begin at 1:00pm and starts downtown at the Jefferson Street underpass and will conclude in the Oil Center.
