Every generation has their Batman. Depending on the age of the person you ask, you’ll discover Adam West fans, Michael Keaton fans, Kevin Conroy fans and, if you stare into the darkness long enough, a George Clooney fan. For a certain group of fans, Christian Bale’s take on the Dark Knight always be the definitive interpretation, with his gravelly growl and trademark intensity instantly beating out whatever Ben Affleck brings to the character in ‘Batman vs. Superman.’ Some of these people are going to resent Affleck no matter what. And, in a surprising turn of events, it looks like they can all rally around Bale himself.

Okay, Batman fans. This is a big one. According to a new rumor, Ben Affleck will follow up major roles in 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' and 'Justice League' with a solo outing as the Caped Crusader in a film with the simple (and perfect) working title, 'The Batman.' But you've got to wait five years, because it's apparently eyeing a theatrical release in 2019.

Just yesterday, 'Batman vs. Superman' director Zack Snyder took to Twitter to entice fans with a teaser image of the new (and hopefully improved) batmobile coming in his 'Man of Steel' sequel with the promise of a full reveal coming soon. Now the time has come and we got more than we bargained for -- we've got our first look at Ben Affleck as The Dark Knight AND his new vehicle.
