The Dulles Drive widening project is a traffic project that has been an inconvenience to drivers passing through the area - and especially to those people living in the surrounding neighborhoods. But, it's a NEEDED traffic project that everyone will be excited about once it's done.
According to reports, one lane of Ambassador Caffery Parkway in Lafayette will be shutdown for approximately five months as repairs to the sound-wall lining the road are underway. Those daily closures of the outside, northbound lane on Ambassador will happen between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. per the report.
There are two separate lane closures happening today that is sure to affect traffic in the Hub City - on South College Road and Ambassador Caffery Parkway.
A very unique billboard on Ambassador Caffery in Lafayette has a lot of folks talking.
Earlier today I was tagged in a photo of the billboard as people were trying to figure out the meaning behind its message. The photo was posted on Facebook by Courtney DeHart and all I could see was some guy on the billboard with an all-over print of the word "WHY?" behind him.
Was it a scorned lover? Was it a clever advertisement? Was it some type of social experiment?
When you hear people in Acadiana complaining about traffic, if it's not I-10 between Lafayette and Baton Rouge, it's probably about Ambassador Caffery.
