Acadiana Mall opened to the public on March 28, 1979. It's been through the oil boom, the oil bust and recently, a pandemic. She's seen a lot, but she's not dead. It's time to head back!

If you miss "the fair" and want to enjoy some rides, play some games and eat all the deep-fried food, then you're in luck starting tomorrow.

Two people have been arrested in connection to a looting incident that occurred at the Acadiana Mall where over $1,000 in merchandise was stolen. According to reports, the two looters were questioned by police about the merchandise and arrested when they were involved in a traffic accident shortly after leaving the scene of the crime.

Lafayette Police Department spokesperson Cpl. Bridgette Dugas tells KPEL News there was a fight inside the Mall and one shot was fired. No one is reported injured at this time.

Our media partners at KATC-TV3 are reporting that the Lafayette Police Department are currently investigating a stabbing that occurred inside of the Acadiana Mall.
