Suspects in an armed robbery that happened in on Christmas Day in Terrebonne Parish were caught the same day in New Iberia.

Police Department spokesman Captain John Babin says they were told that the crime happened early in the morning and that the suspects were from New Iberia and were possibly headed back to the city. Officers located the suspected vehicle at a gas station on Hopkins Street. When they moved in to make the arrests, a gun went off inside the vehicle as Jasmine Francisco was allegedly trying to hide it.

No one was hurt in the shooting, Francisco now sits in the Iberia Parish Jail, and the other individuals - along with the vehicle - were released to the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office.
