Super 8 Is A Great Nostalgic Film!

For "real" movie lovers, "Super 8" brings a nostalgia that I have not experienced in years.For fans of directors like Steven Spielberg and Richard Donner, "Super 8" delivers in every way. It is something I have been waiting for from a film in years. Even though it is not ridiculously overridden with CGI, it gives us much more.

"Super 8" gives us a great cast, especially newcomer Joel Courtney, Elle Fanning and Kyle Chandler. It shows us that a cast of 13-15 year old kids can still entertain us in a way "The Goonies" does. It also shows the audience that a film can still entertain you by having great character driven storytelling without a film full of action sequences. The train wreck scene at the beginning was the most impressive, realistic looking derailment I have ever seen in a film. For you action lovers, there is just enough action to make you happy.

I will not ruin the film for you with spoilers, so go see "Super 8" with an open mind, and please stay during the credits. For fans of films like "Close Encounters of the Third Kind", "E.T." and "The Goonies", I highly suggest "Super 8".
