Medical personnel are working around the clock to deal with this health crisis. More people are being tested and as a result, there are more positive tests of cases of Coronavirus.

As of Sunday morning there are now 837 positive cases, up from 763 Saturday evening. The number of deaths holds steady at 20 in Louisiana.

1,385 have been tested by the state lab and 2113 people have been tested by private labs.

For confirmed infections, reported illnesses have ranged from infected people with little to no symptoms (similar to the common cold) to people being severely ill and dying. Symptoms can include:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath/difficulty breathing
