What IS this thing???

These guys wandered out onto a frozen lake in Utah, and came across...whatever the hell this is!

The thing is circular in shape, and it appears that whatever is within the circle has melted the ice above it.

The guys in the video do touch whatever it is, but unfortunately, they don't describe the feel of it, or anything.

Is it man-made? Is it slimy to the touch? Is it hard?

Does anyone know what this could be?
