‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Gets An Official Rating From The MPAA

Fans have been wondering if Star Wars will become to 'kid friendly' since Disney acquired Lucasfilm Ltd. I myself, was never concerned about this because Disney also owns Marvel, and the films have gotten better and even darker since the acquisition.

Today, the Motion Picture Association of America has released the rating of 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'. The official rating of Episode 7 will be PG-13.

This isn't the first Star Wars film to get a PG-13 rating. The latest film in the series, 'Revenge of the Sith', was also rated PG-13. 'The Force Awakens' is rated PG-13 for "sci-fi action violence".
