SNL’s ‘Grouch’ Joker Parody Is Actually Very Well Made [Video]
Saturday Night Live came out of the gates swinging last Saturday with guest David Harbour.
Joker is the number one movie in the world right now. It's poised to make a whole lot of money on the strength of Joaquin Phoenix's performance, and word of mouth. That being said, it's prime for the picking in the parody realm.
Saturday Night Live took their shot at it, and hit a grand slam. They took the Sesame Street world and did an origin story for Oscar the Grouch.
One of the best parts about it are the side characters. Like Snuffaluffagus being a pimp, or Ernie getting stabbed for not giving up his rubber ducky, dying in the arms of Bert. The Count popping pills.
