Slipknot’s Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan to Star In ‘The Devil’s Carnival’
Slipknot percussionist and backup vocalist Shawn “Clown” Crahan already plays the part of a psychotic circus freak onstage, but now he’s taking his intensity to the silver screen. Crahan is set to make his acting debut in the upcoming film, ‘The Devil’s Carnival.’
Shot as a companion piece to horror-rock musical film ‘Repo! The Genetic Opera,’ ‘The Devil’s Carnival’ wrapped shooting on Jan. 18. Along with co-creator Terrance Zdunich, ‘Repo!,’ stars Alexa Vega and Paul Sorvino. In addition, Ogre from Skinny Puppy will join Crahan in the experimental film.
“I am very honored to have been asked to be a part of this project,” raves Crahan. “I play a character called The Tamer. And let me tell you, there is a little Tamer in all of us.”
Crahan continues, “It’s always been a dream and a goal for me to try and act in something that is filmed besides music videos. I am very honored to have the opportunity to have worked with so many talented actors and people who are involved in making this production come to life.”
