Shaving Cream Could Be Your Summer Sunburn Remedy [Photo]
Summertime means more time outdoors, and as a result you might catch a lil sunburn. Maybe you've heard of this home remedy, but if you haven't this could be what you're looking for. According to this Facebook post, shaving cream could be just what you need to help calm that raging sunburn down and make it go bye bye.
Sure, you should always use sunscreen. Some folks still get burned even if they slather themselves with it. This is where shaving cream can step in and give you some much needed relief.
Cindie Allen-Stewart posted to Facebook "I found out about this from my husband. His mom used to do this to him when he ended up with a sunburn."
First, you need to get some Menthol foam shaving cream. Next, spread it all over your sunburned areas. After about "30 minutes, the shaving cream will seem like it has dissolved in spots. It will seem like it's not as moist and a little dried out. You will feel as if you're becoming a little cold, at least on the sunburned part of your body. THAT IS A GOOD SIGN!"
Then, take a lukewarm or cool shower or bath to get the shaving cream off.
If need be, repeat the next day and apparently your sunburn will disappear. The shaving cream pulls the bad out!
