If you've been hearing rumors that Sean Payton may be going to Miami or elsewhere, you may like what he had to say.

With the Saints lackluster season rolling on, there's been quite a few rumors that the Miami Dolphins, and other organizations might be looking into Payton's availability.

He's been in New Orleans for 10 years now, and only has two years left on his contract. And Payton has a connection to the Miami Dolphins.

Current Interim Head Coach Dan Campbell learned from Sean and Bill Parcels. He was a player in Dallas when Payton was the offensive coordinator, and actually finished out his playing career in New Orleans, where he was on injured reserve for the 2009 season.

Connections to other teams or not, Sean Payton loves New Orleans, and doesn't see himself going anywhere. He's also been in this position before...like almost every year.

“I don’t know what else to say,” Payton said. “I love it here, I’m close to my children. I bought, just built a brand-new house here. You get tired of answering the questions, and yet, I understand you asking. And I’ll say what I’ve said before: This is where I see myself, and I’ve said that now for however many years.”

While he may be tired of answering the same question, he understands why he's being asked.

“I think that happens when you’re in year 10 and you’re not having success,” Payton said. “There’s well, you know, ‘Is there another job he’d be interested in?’ My point is, if you predicted that every year, at some point, someone’s going to be right, whether you retire or you finish or you’re let go. I think that’s just a little bit the nature of our game right now.”

So, at this point in time, Sean Payton has no plans to leave New Orleans. The rumors can end, now.
